Before engaging in sports or any other form of intense physical activity, it is very important for you to warm up. Warming up readies your body for exerting effort during sports and can help prevent serious injuries caused by overstraining yourself without prior preparation. To start warming up, do a few stretching exercises. Then start playing slowly so that you will strain yourself right away. Take your time and work up a sweat without trying too hard so that your body can get accustomed to the different moves that you will be making in your chosen sport. Once you have gotten enough adrenaline going, you can start playing. By warming up before a sport, you prepare your body to deal with the activity and the exertion that you will be putting it through. This makes it easier for you to prevent injuring yourself. So every time you engage in a sport, make sure that you take the time to do some warm up exercises before you start playing.
